The food that they are making us is so incredibly delicious. The fruit and vegetables are so fresh. Breakfast was my favorite…French toast! Along with eggs and melon. For lunch we ate a special Guatemalan dish…but I forgot the name of it. For dinner we had chili and nachos.
I’m not exactly sure what Timmy worked on today, but I know there was some basketball played with the boys. He’s going to be our lighting guy for the skit.
Caleb was working on a bunch of electrical today, but has had an interesting experience trying to get things done the Guatemalan way by finding materials in various places around the orphanage and not having quite the right supplies.
(Was going to catch up and finish this post this morning, but the days are all blending together and ai don’t remember what we did when! lol)
One of my main rolls is skit leader for the NYE party so we spent quite a bit of time finalizing props and stage directions.
I kind of spend the days doing random things, but I do remember that this day I had the privilege of helping some of our team members go to houses and get acclimated to playing with the kids. Then I was able to step away and hear their fun stories later.
Hannah has been very independent this year. She had a few special girls she has bonded with so she tends to find her way to them throughout the day and pour out so much love on them. Her Spanish is REALLY good this year and she has been helping with translation!!!
I’m so proud of my kids and I can see that their faith is authentic when we come here because they serve and love well.
I agree Kara, Hannah and Tim are definitely dedicated to their faith and it shows up brightly when there are others. Life’s Good
